This is an amazing work by an amazing person
A solid debut by a writer with a lot of potential
I never expected to like this book so much. I'm not exactly a huge fan of poetry, but I absolutely enjoyed it
For the first work of this author, this poetry collection is full of surprises. Ramlackhan perfectly captures real life, from spilling food on oneself to being caught up in love, from saving the life of a beetle to contemplating the end of his own. I found myself shocked multiple times throughout the collection by a profound epiphany that Ramlackhan brought out of me via his poetry. Ramlackhan shows powerful mastery of contemporary poetry form, metaphor, and language. My only complaint is that I found myself wishing for more structured poems interspersed with the contemporary, along the lines of one poem in the collection that is a beautiful omen to a love interest.
Highly recommend giving this collection a chance and tracking the author for future works. Guaranteed to surprise you.
